This report includes case studies from KIDS COUNT advocates in Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Washington. The case studies outline how these advocates used solid data, leadership, and citizen engagement to spur race-based legislation and community change. Leaders and teams should leverage these case studies to illustrate how to inspire action aimed at removing racial barriers and brightening the futures of all kids. This process begins with promoting and engaging in sincere, authentic community conversations about race.
