This slide deck identifies process steps to embed design thinking with a mission towards equity. Teachers, educators, and stakeholders using these tools are called to examine their perspectives, biases, and identities they bring to a design opportunity. Through the practice of liberatory design, equity-centered designers will begin to notice the larger historical context of oppression and opportunity inherent in the design process.
Teams can use this tool to shift the relationship between the people who hold power to design and those impacted. It is valuable as a supplement for individual or team identity work.
