This self-assessment tool provides guidance in reviewing standards and curricular materials using equity-oriented domains. The tool’s equity-oriented rubrics help school leaders, teachers and other school community stakeholders surface bias within standard development and interpretations, as well as curricular material creation, selection, and application. The citations presented in this document may also assist users of the tool in their completion of the rubric.
This tool can support school teams to assess whether current pedagogical materials are equity-centered, if this is an area identified in their root cause analysis.
